On November 8, Azerbaijan celebrates Victory Day. This Day, which has become a celebration of the strength of our people and national pride and this day has exceptional importance in terms of the prestige and further development of the Azerbaijani state. The Patriotic War, which lasted 44 days, completed with the end of almost thirty years of occupation and the restoration of our territorial integrity. The Great Victory, which won under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, has gone down in our history in golden letters.
On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of Victory Day, Minister of Health of Azerbaijan Teymur Musayev, heads of the institutions of the Ministry of Health honored with deep respect the memory of doctors and medical workers who became martyrs in the Patriotic War and laid flowers at their graves at the Second Alley of Honor.
It should be noted that 159 military medical workers were injured during the 44-day Patriotic War. A total of 44 medical workers heroically died in the duty. Among them were 11 doctors, 7 paramedics and 26 orderlies.
