Based on the points of the “Strategy for the socio-economic development of the Azerbaijan Republic for 2022-2026”, approved by Decree of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic No. 3378 dated July 22, 2022, executor of which is the Ministry of Health, within the framework of improving the knowledge and skills of private medical institutions, December 22, 2023- 2019, at Analytical Expertise Center of the Ministry of Health, another seminar was held with the staff of private medical institutions on the topics: “Establishing control over sterilization processes and quality assurance”, “Infections associated with medical devices”, “Infections associated with devices”.
The following topics were presented at the training: physical-thermal and chemical sterilization, the mechanism of chemical control when processing sterilization equipment, methods for monitoring the effectiveness of sterilization, bacteriological control, infections associated with central venous catheters, maximum use of the sterile barrier, recommendations for choosing a central venous catheter, recommendations on applying bandages to the catheter insertion site, advice on replacing infusion sets, etc., informative discussions were held, and questions from participants were also answered.
