With the support of the Asian Development Bank within the framework of the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program, the 5th meeting of the working group on healthcare was held in Almaty. The meeting was attended by the head of the Department of the Laboratory of Expertise and Quality Control of Medical and Pharmaceutical Products of Analytical Expertise Center of MOH, Chingiz Shukurov.
At the CAREC-2030 meeting, which lasted 2 days, based on the Health Strategy, presentations from countries participating in CAREC, training and strengthening of human resources were heard, discussions were held on issues of epidemiological and laboratory control, preparedness for a pandemic and climate change, and digitalization of healthcare. Issues such as dependence on the import of medicines in the pharmaceutical sector, a risky approach to quality control during imports, the use of a single platform between participating countries and other issues were also discussed.
At the end of the meeting, participants were awarded certificates.
