In June this year, the European Regional Capacity Building Bureau of the World Customs Organization in Baku conducted a training for customs officers on the topic “Transportation of medicines not intended for industrial or commercial purposes by individuals, as well as service and civilian weapons through customs checkpoints.” The training was attended not only by customs officers, but also by employees of other government agencies operating in this direction, as well as employees of the “Analytical Expertise Center” of the MOH, Elvar Israfilov, Sevinj Nochuyeva and Shirin Shakhbazov. Also, the agenda of the training included the topic “Issues to be considered when moving medicines by individuals for non-commercial purposes through checkpoints across the customs border”. After the presentation of the topic, discussions took place. Then Shirin Shakhbazov, a specialist of the import-export department of the AEC made a presentation, and answers were also given to the answers that arose from the AEC employees.
