In accordance with the legislation, the Analytical Expertise Center of the Ministry of Health has been implementing and overseeing the “Tracking and Tracing System of Medicines” (TTSM) in stages since January 1, 2024. As previously mentioned in our updates, the initial phase focuses on monitoring the circulation of psychotropic and potent drugs in medical and pharmaceutical institutions that have obtained special permits from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As part of the next phase, due to the initiation of tracking six specific medicines and to simplify and optimize the use of the system, employees of the Pharmaceutical Track and Trace Department of the Analytical Expertise Center organized an educational meeting with representatives from 10 importing companies. The event took place in the Center’s assembly hall.
During the meeting, participants received detailed information about the medicines subject to monitoring, the significance of the Data Matrix code, the system’s participants, the data required when submitting an import notification, pharmacy sales reporting, and other crucial aspects of the system’s operation. To reinforce the information presented, the event continued in an interactive format following the theoretical part.
At the end of the meeting, company representatives raised questions regarding challenging aspects of the system, which were thoroughly addressed by the Center’s employees.
