On October 17-20, at the initiative of the International Organization of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the 1st International Conference on the Assessment of Medical Technologies in Health Reforms was organized with the aim of familiarizing the healthcare system of the countries of the region with advanced technologies based on world experience and promoting its development, adaptation to new standards and expansion of access of the population to quality medical services.
Representatives of Azerbaijan, Turkey, USA, Poland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan took part in this conference. Lala Hamidzade, Senior specialist of the Registration and Expertise Department, representing the Analytical Expertise Center at the event, told the conference participants in detail about the rules for registering medicines in Azerbaijan, the development of the Center for world standards and integration into the healthcare system of the advanced countries of the world.
At the end of the conference, the organizers emphasized that this event is a step towards holding other events in this direction in the future.
