The Analytical Expertise Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan constantly supports the improvement of the qualifications of its employees in the field of innovation and science-education related to the development of activity processes and increasing their knowledge and skills in relevant fields.
Thus, it is possible to indicate the scientific innovation in the field of pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology made by Farid Hasanov, the Head of the Pharmacovigilance department. Scientific study “Evaluation of the effectiveness of the Azerbaijan Republic pharmacocontrol system of the against the World Health Organization standards. Determining solutions for improvement” was on the topic. During the employee’s study, knowledge and skills were acquired around the main topics such as evaluation of the benefits of medicinal products, clinical and pharmacological principles, pharmacoepidemiology in clinical research and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of medicinal products.
It should be noted that the First European Training Program in Pharmacovigilance and Pharmacoepidemiology (Eu2P) is the first joint initiative of European public and private institutions for understanding of the medicinal products benefits and risks properly. Farid Hasanov is the first Azerbaijani specialist to defenda scientific work in this field.
