For three days, from September 21 to 23, 2022, the “International Pharmaceutical Exhibition” and “Global Regulators’ Conclave” were held in Greater Noida, India, with the participation of Analytical Expertise Center (AEC) representatives Hamid Gurbanov, Head of Registration and Expertise Department and Diana Ganbari Niyazi, specialist of Medical and Pharmaceutical Products Quality Control and Expertise Laboratory, who were invited on the initiative of the Pharmexcil – Promotion Council.
According to the participants of the exhibition to the press service of the AEC, thematic discussions were held on the first day with the participation of representatives of such countries as Nigeria, Russia, South Korea, Hungary, Cuba and Bahrain. The Chairman of the Conclave Dr.V. Somani having a floor on the topic “International Regulatory Convergence to Promote Accessibility and Affordability of Quality Medicines”. Issues related to the availability of medicines in the above countries, as well as improving the export of quality Indian medicines, were discussed.
During discussions on “Accessibility and fair supply for COVID-19. Vaccines and Therapeutics” (“Accessibility, Affordability & Equitable distribution for COVID-19 Vaccines & Therapeutics”) with the participation of representatives from Myanmar, Mexico, Bolivia, Zambia, Egypt, as well as representatives from a number of companies discussed the availability of vaccines during COVID -19, as well as methods of therapy and their effectiveness.
Later, a closed round table was held on the topic “How to achieve a common goal in mutual cooperation” among representatives of other foreign regulatory bodies, including India, Peru, Guatemala, the Philippines, and Azerbaijan. After that, discussions were held on the topics: “Effective Use of Pharmacopoeias” and “India sourced Generic Drugs – Global Expectations”. Plans for the near future to increase production of generic drugs and their export.
Directly all three days the International Pharmaceutical Exhibition was held with the participation of Indian manufacturers. Companies presented pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, food supplements.
Representatives of Azerbaijan – AEM employees held conversations with representatives of various companies. They discussed issues in the field of registration, pharmacovigilance, compliance with international standards and GMP inspections.
