We inform you that according to the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic dated July 14, 2023 No. 979-VIQD “On Amendments to the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic “On Medicines”, with the exception of medical devices belonging to risk group I, medical devices cannot be imported without state registration.
In this regard, since the registration process for medical devices is expected to begin in the near future, AEC of the Ministry of Health will temporarily stop accepting documents for the import of medical devices (except for medical devices included in risk class I) and checking whether they are medical devices or not.
The dates for companies to issue invoices and bank payments should not exceed the date of approval of this rule from the date of entry into force of this rule (that is, from the moment of its approval).
Example: If the rule was approved on 06/20/2024, such applications will be accepted if the invoice or bank payments were made on 06/19/2024.
