An expert meeting dedicated “Modern Approaches in Screening of Manufacturers of Human Blood, Tissues, Cells and Advanced Therapy Medicines”: Inspection Approach, Current Trends and Experience Sharing” by the Pharmaceutical Cooperative Scheme was held to the 27th PIC/S expert circle meeting on human blood, tissues, cells and advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 20 – 22 August 2024.The meeting was dedicated to familiarization with the working group activities on revising the guidelines of the Pharmaceutical Cooperation Scheme, requirements for manufacturers of blood, cells, human tissue and advanced therapy drugs, modern approaches to their inspection, and exchange of the inspections experience conducted in this direction.
The Analytical Expertise Center of the Ministry of Health was represented at the event by General Director Murad Suleymanov, Deputy General Director Rafig Khudayev, and Head of Quality Management Department Shamil AydamiRov.
At the event, the speech of the Pharmaceutical Cooperation Scheme experts, the preliminary presentation of the new set of documents to be published in connection with the inspection of drugs and medical devices was held. The presentations on the advanced practices of Italy, Switzerland, the United States of America, Austria, Indonesia, Malaysia and other countries were presented during event. In addition, the practical trainings were held for the employees of the Supervisory Institutions on Reliable Manufacturing Practice on the second day of the event,
A number of important meetings were held at the event, and the detailed information about the activities of the Analytical Expertise Center were given to the Pharmaceutical Cooperation Scheme experts.
