According to the application for the purpose of laboratory research addressed to the Analytical Expertise Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, samples were tested on which was indicated the manufacturer “Danafa Pharmaceutical SC” Vietnam, under the name “Golden Star Balm 4g ointment”, series: 120621AZ, expiration date: until 21.06. 2026, “Golden Star Balm 4g Ointment”, series: 190808AZ, expiration date: 08/07/2024, and “Golden Star Balm 4g”, series: 481108, expiration date: 11/08/2023.
Referring to the information provided by Laboratory of Analytical Expertise Center, among the submitted samples, the medicine “Golden Star Balm 4g ointment”, series: 120621AZ, expiration date: 06/21/2026, was registered in the Register of Medicines of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the packaging was confirmed. Also, when the submitted sample series was imported into the republic, it was checked at the AEC and an import permit was issued. No inconsistencies were found in the quality parameters of the said sample.

The remaining 2 test samples – “Gold Star Balm 4g ointment”, series: 190808AZ, expiration date: until 08/07/2024 and “Golden Star Balm 4g ointment”, series: 481108, expiration date: until 11/08/2023, are not registered in the Register of Medicines Republic of Azerbaijan and their packaging have not been approved. Also, when the presented series of samples was imported into the republic, they were not checked at the AEC and an import permit letter was not issued. Although the presence of active substances called “levomenthol”, “camphor”, “cineol” and “eugenol” was determined in the mentioned samples, it was found that the amount of these substances did not meet the requirements specified in the referenced normative documents.
