On March 14, 2025, Analytical Expertise Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized another training session for representatives of private medical and preventive institutions on the topic: “Pharmacovigilance Organization and Management in Private Medical and Preventive Institutions. Adverse Reactions.”
The training was opened with a welcome speech by Farid Hasanov, Head of the Pharmacovigilance Department at the Analytical Expertise Center. Following the opening, Gila Ibrahimli, a specialist from the Pharmacovigilance Department, delivered a presentation covering key topics such as: “Pharmacovigilance and Its Importance: Purpose and Role in the Healthcare System”, “International Pharmacovigilance Standards, Legislative Acts, and Regulations”, “The Responsible Person for Pharmacovigilance and Their Requirements”, “Responsibilities of Manufacturers, Distributors, and Healthcare Professionals in Reporting Adverse Drug Reactions to the Center”, “Guidelines for Filling Out the Notification Form, Reporting Requirements, and Submission Deadlines”.
During the presentation, participants were shown how to submit adverse reaction reports online. Additionally, Vüsala Khalilli, another specialist from the Pharmacovigilance Department, distributed notification cards to participants and provided hands-on guidance on filling them out.
A total of 31 representatives from 29 private medical and preventive institutions participated in the training. The session included a comprehensive Q&A segment where participants’ questions were addressed, and real-life cases drawn from practice were analyzed.
At the end of the training, complex and controversial issues related to the topic were clarified through discussions. Afterward, participants were awarded certificates.
