Employees of Analytical Expertise Center of the MOH organized a meeting with representatives of European pharmaceutical companies on the topic “Tracking and Tracing System of Medicines”, which began to be applied in stages from January 2024.
The meeting, attended by 34 representatives of 27 companies, was organized to answer questions from representatives of companies related to the system and its use, obtain suggestions by discussing issues related to the use of the system, as well as visually demonstrate the functioning of the system.
The main issues of interest to company representatives concerned the process of creating and using QR codes, which play a key role in real-time tracking of all stages from the production/import of medicines to their delivery to the final consumer in order to ensure safety and prevent smuggling of medicines funds. Also discussed were such points as: the implementation of the “Movement” process in the system, the advantages of the system, the issue of providing medicines with QR codes when importing, etc.
Let us note that earlier, from 10/31/2023 to 11/02/2023, AEC staff organized relevant trainings for representatives of enterprises involved in the circulation of psychotropic and potent drugs on the use of the “Tracking and Tracing System of Medicines”. This training, which lasted 3 days, involved representatives of local manufacturers and wholesale pharmaceutical companies on the first day, representatives of pharmacies on the second day, and representatives of private medical institutions on the last day.
