Recently, the Analytical Expertise Center of the Ministry of Health has been receiving information about fraudulent activities by individuals who conduct illegal inspections and raids targeting business entities. Entrepreneurs engaged in private medical activities should be aware that the conducting of the inspections related to healthcare services is regulated by the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Regulation of Inspections in Entrepreneurship and Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Interests.” In this regard, in order to determine the legality of inspections related to medical services, entrepreneurs must verify information on the unified information registry at the Ministry of Justice’s website https://yoxlama.gov.az/ by entering the taxpayer identification number specified in the “EXTRACT” document. If discrepancies are found between the data provided by the inspectors and the information in the “EXTRACT,” it is advisable for the entrepreneurs to report this to law enforcement agencies.
We also remind citizens that if they face any issues in private medical institutions or pharmacy organizations, they can contact the AEC’s “Single Window” system, the hotline (012 596 05 20), the email, or the “Complaints” section on the https://pharma.az/. In such cases, an investigation will be conducted, and if necessary, a decision will be made to carry out an unscheduled inspection.
