The 57th meeting of the PIC/S is currently being held in Hong Kong, Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. The meetings, held on 3–4 November, are attended by high-level representatives of member countries and partner organizations. The main agenda of the meeting includes the following topics: implementation of new technical regulations and the impact of these changes on industry and regulatory authorities in member countries; preliminary discussion of approaches to the implementation of new governance mechanisms; proposal for the establishment of new governance subcommittees and a preliminary description of their structural functions; preliminary description of strategic proposals for strengthening global cooperation and mutual recognition.
The event included technical sessions, interactive discussions and presentations by experts, and encouraged the exchange of experience and information between member countries.
The meeting serves the main goals of the PIC/S organization – improving global pharmaceutical control, increasing regulatory compliance and effective implementation of international standards.
On November 4, 2025, reports from individual countries were heard, and the work carried out by Azerbaijan in this area was received with approval. Murad Suleymanov, General Director of the Analytical Expertise Center of the Ministry of Health, and Shamil Aydemirov, Head of the Center’s Quality Management Department, are represented our country at the event.
